The X60 is a great choice if you have 500Mbps to 1Gbps speeds even without the triband or a wired backhaul, you need to saturate the bands to really start losing performance which almost no regular person will ever do.

The AX5700 on the other hand is triband so dont have to worry about wired backhaul at all unless you really want and its primarily for those people who over wireless want their full 1Gbps connection.

Yep they are almost completely identical accept for the radios and with current tests they perform almost identically to each other.
What about the X3600 at Costco for $299.99 for the 3pk? Deciding between that and the AX5700. Leaning towards the 3pk to get a better signal in the detached garage/yard.

Thats the brand new TP-Link X68 also referred to the X3600 I have seen very few reviews or tests with them so far so I cant say for certain. The inital reviews never had the ISP speeds to put them through their paces but they looked to be very stable and reliable and from the tests I seen easily hit 500Mbps speeds.

To me they look like an advanced version of the X60 so you get triband which will make wireless backhaul more stable but I have not seen speed tests to figure out speeds. I would guess they are between the 500-1gig range.

If you want more coverage and definitely sticking to a pure wireless setup they would be your best option cause of the third node and being triband.

If your more interested in getting over 1gig of speed on the wireless the X5700 is the clear choice right now.

The AX3600 3-pack is also on sale at 299.99, which ends today. https://www.costco.com/tp-link-de...75280.html. How does the AX3600 compare to the AX5700 (in terms of range), and does anyone know if each standalone router in these multipacks operates as an independent router on its own?

I'm replacing a Fios router and believe only 1 will suffice, and I plan to sell the additional unit(s). I do not want the mesh setup/feature but want a triband Wi-Fi 6 router.

Question for those with Verizon Fios Gigabit connection
Wouldn't be simpler just to lease their router and extender for 25 a month. For a price one has to wait for a year to recoup and investment. In a year new better tech will show up.
Your thoughts.

The AX5700 can act as a stand alone router, I am not sure about the AX3600 packs, but I would assume yes???

That said the AX3600 wont get you over 1Gbps speeds through wifi if thats what your trying to accomplish, if your not and just want a triband then it might be for you. Just need to verify if it indeed can be used as a standalone like the AX5700.

A lot of times the rental stuff only gets you close to your speeds through wifi and not the full amount you pay for, if your okay with that then yeah you can keep it. If you want to maximize the speeds and have something you own, you will pretty much pay off the devices in 1 year and get your max speeds over wifi.

I'm going to say no on that.

$300 is a lot and can buy decent gear. FiOS is so simple if you are just talking internet connection - plug straight into a wireless router.

The difficulty is when you want to hook up FiOS cable. I'll say sidestep that and just use OTT streaming solutions.

Best MESH and best SINGLE router if you only need one of them for the money PERIOD. No other router or mesh system can deliver the performance of this system thats under $1000. This can deliver over 1.2Gbps of ISP over wireless to wifi 6 clients.

Happy this deal is back a lot of people missed out last time.

I figured it would come back around, glad I didn't miss this time.

No its software is very basic, so there is no customized DNS or openvpn support unfortunately.

This router/mesh is for people who just want internet that works out of the box without any additional tinker or custom configurations so for 90% of the general internet using public.

If you want more advanced firmware you need their non Deco models or I would prefer the Asus routers as they have always been one of the most feature filled routers out there.

It would not hurt to swap it master/slave just to see if any changes. If your still having bad luck I would try one replacement set and see if that fixes your problem after that go nuts on another set. The RBK753s are a great set but again nowhere near the performance of these guys.
did you guys set this up wired backhaul or wirelessly? Im thinking about getting one since my current netgear nighthawk would drop all wifi and try to reboot at the random times of day.

I can't seem to get the web interface to work with this model.

It appears to be app-only, which I've been trying to avoid.

Got this 3 weeks ago to update the Deco M9. It's very stable, better coverage than M9, faster and my wifi cam seems to be more responsive on live view. I'm happy with it so far.

My Archer C4000 also from Costco covers most of the center of the house but misses the backyard and perimeter. Had many AP's and repeaters in the past that didn't allow for Ethernet backhauls, glad to see the SD folks giving sound advice on good tech. In 4 1. If it fails for some reason as what all brands tend to do then return policy should cover it. Plus WPA3 FTW!
