Lowes appears to be clearing out all their Yardgard hardware cloth and chicken wire, with lots at 75% off retail or more. It looks like all sizes are on sale but be sure to compare price per foot because for some sizes 10' rolls may be cheaper per foot than the 25' rolls.

All Lowe's website links are for reference only! These prices are in store only and they can not be ordered online for delivery or in-store pickup. These were no longer on display at my store, but I found them on the racks up above the hardware cloth/chicken wire section.

If you are using this to secure chicken coops or other animal pens, you will want to use hardware cloth rather than chicken wire. Chicken wire is great for keeping chickens in but predators can get through it easily so it does not effectively keep anything out.

Prices will vary by store and you may find that stores near you are cheaper or more expensive than prices I've posted here. Most of these have a lot of stock in my area (Seattle).

Couldn't a store not having tons of stock to clearance out rather mean it's awesome, rather than sh*tty? Not from your perspective, though (:

Is 2' high fence to keep pet gerbils in the yard? Needed 5+ for our dogs 🙄.

Thanks for sharing though!

I added these to the fence to cover up 4 feet including about 6 inches underground. Works very well to keep the darn rats out for the most part. However recently I noticed some rats climbing over the 4 foot and coming over to eat my veggie garden produce…
Darn rats.

I've been to two Lowe's near me and most of these items were not on sale. I did buy Yardguard 50'x4' for $17.09. Good luck to those looking. I do follow a homesteader that found some amazing deals in his area.

good deals, but all scattered around my area. I'd have to spend the day driving from store to store to stock up

I think I get the gist of what the other poster was trying to say.. His negative sentiment towards the store was probably not so much as the quantity of chicken wire on hand but more of an overall distain for the condition of the store. For example: (and just guessing here, giving the guy the benefit of the doubt instead of throwing the stone via a thumbs down) maybe his store has 15 available registers and the cheap managers attempt to save a dollar only has 2 active cashiers (?) and or maybe the first 2 bags of cow dodo that he grabs in the garden department have holes in them because the lazy stock guy placed the damaged ones on top of the stack instead of throwing them out (?) Just a few possibilities (?).. I think the term "shitty" is strong on his part.. I personally would not have used that word in combination with Lowes.. However, I would have used it in combination with how I describe my local walmart. .

Speaking from experience, I think what you're looking for is electric fencing.

Aww, just saw the deal now and noticed it's three days old. Guess I'll drive down to my local one and try my luck. Speaking to the discussion about the condition of Lowes, I was there a couple months ago and for over ten minutes as I walked around, some poor soul at the service desk kept paging a manager for an override with increasing urgency each time. Last time I'd seen something like that was when Kmarts were still in my state.

Edit: Nuts, no Yardgard except for the 10'x2' that was way too small for my purposes, and the Kobalts were all still full price.

Anyone else miss when you could order products online from lowes at clearance prices? So annoying they killed that feature this past year.

Thank you. I think this would be conductive to teaching him to stay in his room at night. I'll try it.

Seems like most Lowe's and Home Depots in bigger cities have the issues of bad customer services from my experience. Never had issues in mid to small size areas.

I my area good luck trying to find someone to help at all and if you need to get something off a top stack that requires a fork lift or one of those scissor lifts you might as well block out half your day. I avoid HD at all cost but at least lowes pro desk people will help you or find someone that can. Not to say the service is much faster but at least you dont have to find where the employees are hiding.
