Nice unit, had a few of these, after the third glass broke, I switched to stainless steel, 5x the cost but stands the test of time.

What's the difference between the Cafeteria and the Chambourd?

Scrolling down the page, they have the White Cafeteria French Press for $9.99 and for $13.99 SALE prices, both are the 34oz models.

Shipping kills it, already said by another poster. Everyday price on Amazon is $20.

I believe the Chambourd is stainless steel on the top whereas the Cafeteria is plastic.
I own the Cafeteria I got in a gift set three years ago and it still works fine. Don't be discouraged by that unless you want to eligence of the stainless steel.

anyone have any experience with their burr coffee grinders?

i've been using the same blade grinder (cheap $10 plastic one) for about 10 years now.

cold brew drinker here, i grind the beans at night, pour cold water on top inside the french press and have my coffee ready in the AM.

will the burr grinder make it THAT much better? $50 aint the slickest, but some of those grinders are $150 or more for the 'sophisticated' coffee drinkers.
