That's the best season to plant grass, at least in VA. If you plant in the next couple of weeks, it will have a good 2 months to grow/get established. Much fewer weeds than doing it in the spring

Haven't had the best luck with this stuff. Very difficult to get it thick and established. As a result, it dies in the summer heat. On the plus side, it does seem to spread like kbg even tho it's tall fescue. All in all, it's a very frustrating grass to deal with, well not be buying again, not worth it.
