Not sure what you are doing, but I have this unit and it has the speed string head. You just twist the head until the arrows line up, feed your string all the way through and have equal amounts sticking out both sides, then twist the head to suck in the string. It literally doesn't get any easier.
Got this last time, it's awesome. Side note - the Ryobi Expand-it line of universal attachments fit this. I got the Ryobi edger attachment.
Right. But he is saying the battery it comes with would work with his other 20V tools.

Changing the string is a pain with this. Once going it's a beast.

Recently got this model. Really happy with it. I've trimmed my yard 5 times and the battery has just ticked down one level after the 5th time.

Actually it does, Ego has a superior system but this one is easy enough.

I wish there was an arrow or something on the head to remind you which way to turn it to load strong. I couldn't find one so I put a label on the shaft.

It's not super clear but I believe this comes with the 9Ah flex batt if you're wondering. It says 3Ah in product description and that's at 60v, so 9 at 20v.

I'm trying to justify this by subtracting what I could sell my 20v weed eater and a decent battery for.

I bought this guys older bigger brother and I wish I had gotten this one so the batteries would work with my existing 20v tools.
If you are still using a gas powered trimmer, electric is so worth it. It just works.
