The Home Alone bundle only entitles you to both movies in HDX quality, despite Home Alone 1 also being available in 4K UHD. This is where it hurts that VUDU doesn't have as generous an upgrade policy as Apple. You only get what you pay for, not for what is available. Fair warning. Despite this, I'm not convinced either Home Alone would benefit much from a 4K resolution due to their age. But both are hilarious holiday movies worth owning so you might want to jump on this deal now because I've only seen this bundle go on sale as low as $12-13 after Labor Day.

I understand how film and resolution works. Film is also not static. It ages, and it can degrade depending on how well it was initially conserved and stored. Perhaps there is significant film grain on the master reels because of the lenses used. What I do know is these are two of the funnier holiday movies you can enjoy with anyone, young and old. Not some cinematic, CGI blockbuster with amazing video/audio characteristics. I'll take a 4K remaster if offered, but I doubt its going to matter that dramatically in the long run.
I'm a little tired of everyone beating the resolution drum around here. Nothing is going to replicate the impact of going from SD to HD resolution. That difference was night and day. Any future resolution improvements are debatable window dressing, as the human eye is nowhere capable of discerning all of these pixels beyond a certain distance.

Oh you're going to love how they easily wrote off Noomi Rapace's character in the second film. I was hoping she would have had sort of mysterious role in it, of her being an independent intelligent curious character, but nope. We just get to see her remains.

The problem with buying MA 4k digital movies is that they disappear once the platform looses the contract. I've lost Hacksaw Ridge and Hurt Locker which I've bought digitally. Redeemable codes from 4k blurays that I've lost are Wonder Woman, The Matrix trilogy, and Man of Steel. DON"T DO IT!!!!! Unless, you're fine with them disappearing off your MA list.

Happy to find the bundle for "We're No Angels." We always watch the 1955 version during the Christmas Holiday and the remake is just a childhood memory for me so nice to find both for 12.99 digitally.

What are you talking about? Hacksaw Ridge and Hurt Locker have NEVER been MA titles as they're both Lionsgate titles and I've got all of the other movies you mention and all are in my library at the quality I bought or redeemed. Burned my Man of Steel BD code at Vudu pre-MA and bought the rest from various outlets on sale in 4K.

These movies both look good in 4K. However, the 4K format in general is disappointing for movies to me. The difference is almost like comparing 1080p to 720p - it's not that much of a difference. I buy 4K just to have the best format there is, but it's not impressive in general. However..Youtube videos in 4K look simply mind-blowing and phenomenal if you're fine with travel and nature videos.

Something is wrong then streaming is a fraction of the bitrate of bluray, and youtube is so bitrate starved its not funny. Just for example Forest Gump is something like 80GB on bluray, streaming a few of those and rip bandwidth cap.
