Not one rumor for the upcoming iPhone 13 mentions removing the port. In future phones, possibly, but not this year.
I thought so too but good sourced leaks of even next year's iPhone design still have the lighting port. It's still they're option to change. They probably won't ditch until they go portless and switch to wireless charging only.
