Seems like Breathe Right has put the original Tan Small/Medium Nasal Strips on clearance as the 30 count box has been marked down to $4.53 at both Walmart and Amazon. Most stores have been carrying only the larger size in Tan for awhile now, but I still like the small/medium size.

Walmart has the clear "Sensitive Skin" version even cheaper at $3.84. Walmart has a limit of 2 boxes for clear and 12 for tan.

$4.53 Tan at Walmart: https://www.walmart.com/ip/Breath...nt/1150896

$4.53 Tan at Amazon ("in stock soon", free delivery with prime): https://www.amazon.com/Breathe-Ri...0013NE0MM/ In stock soon

I've only ever used the large, and yesterday's purchase came in today so took a picture for size comparison. Also tried one and it seems to have a similar effect, just unsure if it will remain overnight due to smaller contact area.
The large would be too big for most kids, but for adults I'd guess it comes down to nose size and personal preference. I'm a man and almost find the large size too big although the small/medium might be slightly smaller than ideal. Something in between would be perfect. As far as effectiveness, they seem about the same to me.

I believe the larger size is more about having more adhesive contact for less chance it loses grip. I *think* they started with only the original smaller size and later added the larger size for that reason but I'm not sure. I get the feeling they might be getting rid of the small/medium tan completely as most stores stopped carrying it and its been harder to find online too. But a lot of stores do carry the clear in small/medium and I'm guessing that will stay.

I used the small/medium for a few years before ever trying the large. I've been buying either since and am still undecided as to which I prefer.

Any difference in how well the tan ones adhere or stay adhered all night compared to the clear? I would imagine that the clear would be more plastic-like, while the tan would be more like a fabric band-aid. Are the clear more likely to cause breakouts, since the material would be less breathable (on the skin)?

100 percent. The tan are a fabric material and stick well with no issues. The clear are more plastic like. They still stick well but not as well and if you didn't wash your face really well and get all the oil off the clear ones won't last the night sometimes. These work wonders when you're sick, even when you're not. I swear by them although I buy the Walmart brand cause they are cheaper and just as good

I tried a box of clear for the first time recently after having always used tan. The adhesive definitely seems different. The grip seems gentler/weaker but surprisingly they did stick throughout the night. Yet they come off with zero effort in the morning when you remove it compared to the tan where it is closer to removing a sticky bandaid. Seemed a little strange that it could be taken off so easily yet stay on overnight.

I suspect if I tried them on right after each other to compare I'd find the clear must be slightly less effective due to the weaker adhesive. But it still worked fine for me and I liked the ease of removal.

I haven't used clear enough to know which I prefer. But I did order the max of two clear boxes with them being cheaper and then stocked up on tan as well. No idea regarding breathability/breakouts. The clear is more plastic like but if I recall correctly didn't feel like you were just slapping a piece of plastic on your nose. They were comfortable to wear.

This is cheaper than the Walmart Equate brand and the Target Up and Up ones. Thanks!

For people who haven't tried it, using a nasal irrigation system like a neti pot might be a great solution. Once you have the neti pot all you need is distilled water and salt. If you're having trouble breathing due to some boogies in the nostrils that could help tremendously. It can clean your entire nasal passage and make breathing easier. It's a much cheaper option.

Neilmed sinus rinse is even easier to use than a neti pot. It's like a squirt bottle that shoots the saline upwards. Google it.

That makes sense. The packaging for the clear states that they're better for sensitive skin, since that version's adhesive comes off easier than the tan version's. I guess the manufacturer discovered that the adhesive was weaker and tried to depict that as a "feature". laugh out loud

My doctor recommended me and that's how I got introduced to the nasal irrigation after a deviated nose surgery and after removing my huge tonsillitis with a minor surgery. Nasal irrigation really worked for me after couple months of recovery from surgery.

It helped my snoring and helped clear the sinus, nasal congestion issues.

But now I'm lazy after a year tired of those daily nasal irrigation remedies.... wishing for installing a sprinkler system 😂😂😂
