Great for bulking up your arms braugh!!! Lol. (I'm in for one, in the hopes that AvE shows us how to convert it into a "massager" for Do-klaw.)

I have this saw and it is a beast. It has handled everything that I have thrown at it, and still keeps going. Unless you are investing in one of the super expensive dewalt, Milwaukee etc.. lines of battery tools, I feel the recip saw is one of those that you want to be corded, for that extra power. Thanks OP!

Add almost $15 shipping. No free shipping option. So, up to $75! Thinking about jumping on it but shipping cost was the deal breaker!

Agreed. Some people swear that the 18V-24V class tools are as powerful as corded or pneumatic, but there's a reason there aren't battery-powered 12" miter saws or 16" beam saws. With a recip, unless you really need the mobility, a corded 13A-15A model is the way to go.

Even with shipping it is still $20 less than the usual price for this brand and model, and I have been looking at buying one of these tools for the last year. From what my research indicated, this is one of the best reciprocating saws you can get for under $100 while still having 12+ amps of power. Thank you for the deal and post. (Side Note: When I bought it the price was showing as $58.38 before shipping, and then $77.31 after with tax.)

To be fair, the only cordless one I tried was some god awful Porter Cable 20v saw. I had the circ saw, and recip saw in their line up, and both got stuck on cardboard!

There's a Milwaukee 18-volt 12" cordless sliding miter.

Also 18-24 volts can easily exceed corded power. Typical wall-plug in a home is on a 15 amp breaker. That's 120 V * 15 A = 1800 peak watts.

Modern 18-24 V lithium-ion batteries can easily put out 1500-1800 watts, and more, although the main limitations are heat and runtime. But the nice thing about the advanced cordless saws is that they can actually give you more power than corded because there's no 15 amp breaker that'll trip after you draw 1800 watts for too long. Remember, most breakers are rated for 80% of their max capacity for continuous loads, so 80% of 1800 is 1440 watts. A corded power tool has to stay at or below 1440 watts during continuous operation, or the breakers get unhappy. A cordless power tool can exceed 1440 watts even during continuous operation without worrying about shutting down your entire garage due to tripping the breaker.

A electrical continuous load defined by the national electric code is one that is expected to run 3 hours or more. So a 15 amp breaker can handle 1800W for 3 hours.

And many times you have several 15 amp receptacles on a 20 amp breaker.

Right, but let's not forget that there are other things on the circuit often times, and most corded tools go up to 15 amps. Recip saws generally fall within 12, 13, and 15 amp classes. Hasn't really been an explosion of 20 amp recip saws.

Got the 15 amp for our guys for tear offs of commercial (flat) asphalt roofs. It quickly became three favorite . We got 3 more to replace our others and it's been a year since with no problems

This would've been a for sure buy 15 years ago. Still have my old Rockwell wired saw. It was great for its time. So for my Dewalt 20v has been a good replacement.

I wouldn't hesitate on this if you need a good basic saw.
