The original post has better latency and is faster.With Ryzen though you'll want to manually downclock to 3800 or 3600 most likely. If you just want a kit with xmp you can set and forget, I'd recommend just finding a 3600c CL16 kit. If you want to spend a lot more money you can go 3600 cl14.

Because depending on which Ryzen you have, getting 4000 to run with 2000 infinity fabric is still somewhat iffy. If you downclock this ram could also manually tune with better timings.
But doesn't hurt to try with the highest settings then work your way down if it doesn't work

I have a 5900x isnt that top of the line? What processor could actually handle 4000? My current ram is 3600 and i run xmp so I'm fine, I'm more just wanting to learn. Is it for 5950x?

Too many variables such as your processors controller, mobo, and of course the ram. You won't know until you try the kit.
