I'm waiting it to become 60 months MINIMUM, nothing beats being tied up to a company that prevents from leaving (and possibly upgrading) for at least few years👍🏻. I wonder what users that complained about being tied to contracts while getting newest phones usually for free would say now.

yup, the 3 years is pushing it... phones are normally taking a shit at 2yrs, especially Androids, iPhones hold out a bit longer in my experience.
i personally don't mind the 2yr credit to get an upgrade cheaper. i don't plan on leaving VZ, been with them for a long time now after having garbage Sprint/ATT service in NY about 80 miles from the city. friends with work phones still on ATT come up to visit, their phones might as well be door stops. so being "locked" into a provider does work for some people.
that said, 3yrs is insane, i saw the option when i recently upgraded my phone and my father's and laughed.

Did anyone receive the phones from Walmart yet? Did we find out if Walmart is sending locked or unlocked phones?
