In for 3 as well. Funny how I started using Persil, which is great. That said, this works really well and is so cheap, I'm sticking with it. It's not like my Persil will expire! Peace

Unless you work in a job that attracts lots of dirt like in construction or farming, this detergent is perfect for regular use.

while the price is good I'm never ordering detergent from amazon. last time i ordered 3 tides, 2 of the jugs leaked halfway out. had to have them replace. then the 2 new ones were leaked out halfway also. then they sent 2 more and one leaked about quarter of the way. all in all i got more than i paid for but damn, it was a lot of mess.

I've seen now where brands like Tide employ a new adhesive strap system that seems remarkably effective for keeping the lids on tight. The bottles were also (for better or worse) packaged within a box within a box system which likely reduced the exploding bottle problem. Prior to this my experience had been, as yours, that motor oil an detergents were a waste of time because you either had losses through the lid or bottle.

I don't make a habit of ordering these products through Amazon, but I was happy that when I jumped on a recent Tide slickdeal the product had gone through some iterations to make the purchase an effective use of time (and not just an exercise in testing Amazon's return/replacement policy).

Good luck!
Jon

This is probably a completely serviceable detergent. However, brands like Tide and Persil are typically ranked one and two in terms of objective tests from the likes of Consumer Reports. These perennial bests are typically followed by other high-volume, top-tier brands like Costco and Sam's house brands, All and Gain.

In contrast, I'm not aware of Purex breaking the top 20(!). The last time Purex got a mention in the pages of Consumer Reports was when they had that gimmicky pre-pods era 3-in-1 detergent sheet circa 2010 (which CR did not rate highly).

Good luck!
Jon
