Looking for a Visa Card with a high limit to send my FICO score above 800 again??

HI All

Ive been looking around for a credit that will provide a high limit to send my FICO score back over 800. I wasnt really paying attention and 2 of my oldest credit cards were cancelled by the issuers for not being used. So, the 2 things im looking for is no annual fees and a way to increase my credit limit?

I went to this site https://www.fool.com/the-ascent/c...dit-cards/ and it appears the Chase Freedom unlimited card might be my best bet. However, this card doesnt guarantee a 5000 plus opening limit like im looking for.

Anyone have any suggestions?

call your current cards and ask for an increase. i was able to do that a few years back. they asked why and i told them i was planning on a remodel. i still haven't remodeled. i think it was a hard pull so 3 points per card.

i think if you add new cards for that sole purpose, you are going to drop your score in the short term. there really isn't a need for 800+ if you aren't looking for a home mortgage. and if you are looking for a mortgage, i don't think you should be shopping for credit lines

I had a new card with a 20k limit spent 24 on wedding bill they covered it and sent an email saying other charges would not be approved. I called and automated system raised mine to 30k. My score was just below 800 as it had dropped 22 point from previous wedding charges. Chase freedom card. I would try going thru automated system for the credit cards. I also recommend credit karma to track your score.
