I bought their previous model (R1) to replace our old purifier back in April and its been working really great. The foot print is a lot smaller than our old Winix C545 but it works just as well. This new model looks like it can take air in on all sides and has a round filter. It still doesn't have smart controls. Filters are sometimes out of stock but I load up when they are on sale.

There's a link to filters in the original post
I also have a winix and love it, but this one is quite a bit smaller and cheaper, and replacement filters are cheap. I'll keep using the winix but am interested in this for my smaller room.
I can't find filter life anywhere on the listing, any ideas? I run my winix 24/7 and just wait until it tells me the filter needs changing.
Lol, no it isn't. This and the previous model have a CADR of 130-140, whereas the WINIX has a CADR of 232-246. That means it's roughly half as effective as a C535/545.
By objective measures (CADR) this is a vastly inferior unit, and you'd need two of them to be slightly better than equal a single Winix. On the 29th the C545 is going to be $100 with two years of filters, which is a significantly better deal. Based on the CADR, this thing is good for AHAM's recommended 5 exchanges per hour in a 190 sq ft room, not the ludicrously inflated 547 sq ft it claims.
If you want a small purifier for a small room, I guess buy this. But, don't for a moment even begin to pretend that this is close to equivalent to a Winix, because it's not.

Thanks for this info, I didn't realize the CADR difference.
Is the $100 winix deal through Costco again? That's the original winix deal I got. For $100 + filters I'll gladly wait.

Yes, it's through Costco.
