I occasionally buy these for my wife at under the $10 mark, but the Walmart brand ones are anywhere from 50% to 15-20% the price as these. Sure, there might be some scents that you *really love* with YC that you can't find elsewhere, but other brands (like WM) have huge selections.

My wife makes the argument that the YC lasts longer. It is really hard to judge this without a lot of data, but I can guarantee it doesn't last 2x as long...probably doesn't even last 25% longer and to me the cost isn't justified.

If I could pick any scent at this $14.99 for 2 price I would jump on it, but playing their games of "this scent is 2x more valuable than another" is just another reason I won't move on this deal.

Thanks for posting though - I'm sure those SDers who really think YC is worth the money appreciate it!

Unless you're gungho on particular scents from YC, I feel like they're overrated. Got some $5 ones from Safeway that smell nice and burn slow. The ones from Walgreens burn fast. $6.75 is an okay price, but I wouldn't buy above $5 after trying out the Safeway ones.

I like the bargain brand candles but the Yankee Candles are a LOT more pungent. Almost too strong.
