Specs seem pretty good. Seems to be the lowest price according to the three C's.

I bought one to try on the PS5 since it only misses the mark by 500 MB/s but is substantially cheaper.

Thanks. I had picked up the Kingston's m.2 drive that was listed yesterday, but chose to cancel it and go with this one. It's 30$ more but 2.5 times faster.

I also decided to do the ceramic for the extra cooling. 3$ for better cooling seams like a good move.

Thanks! Also went with thin ceramic cooling to ensure it fits the PS5!

*Though it looks like the OP version has a copper/graphene heatsink installed. I'm sure either will suffice if one or the other isn't available for purchase.

Review for ceramic.

i don't understand why manufacture think ceramic makes a good heat sink.
in term of conductivity, glass is 1W/mK, Porcelain is 4-5, and metal is 16.

They're a silicon carbide ceramic with high thermal conductivity and high electrical insulation properties. The porous ceramic on a microscopic level creates a very large surface area compared to metal heat spreaders allowing for better heat dissipation.

I received my drive and the PS5 says its read speed is 5622.61 MB/s exceeding what the rated speed is and fulfills the PS5 minimum requirements.

My only concern is that I got the ceramic version and the ceramic part comes off fairly easily. The adhesive doesn't seem to be very sticky.

Glad to hear it is working well. Not sure what a good solution is for the the ceramic coming off. I will try mine tomorrow and update this. Maybe you just got a bad one?

Not sure. The adhesive seems like double sided tape. I wonder if the heat generated will eventually make it more sticky. Please update if yours came off easily as well.

Sony read speed is very variable and not accurate. My samsung pro 980 2tb reads at 5,600... should be way higher. Dont know how they calculated these 5000mbps drives. Obviously those speeds arent accurate because all manufacturers advertise their up to max speeds. We are still beta testing nvme for sony really. I got bugs with transfering data already on nvme drives where some games wont copy or delete after full drive migration. Had to reformat.

The question is are you willing to risk it to buy something that isnt fast enough and later on sony updates firmware to block the use of these drives that dont make the cut. It could happen.
