It's Black Friday Season! Hopefully they'll still be some good deals in spite of all the inflation and product shortages, otherwise it could be the worst BF ever.

We're probably going to get some sales split up into multiple weeks again. That strategy seemed to do well for the bigger retailers last year.

But I don't see anywhere near the number of truly hot deals as pre-2020 BFs had.

Based on what I'm seeing and hearing(logistics/supplier manufacturing sector) hold on to you pants and be ready to move quick on deals as they will dry up stupidly fast this year. People participating in door busters at big boxes better have good health insurance...its gonna get ugly.

Target is 65" 4K with all bells and whistles - under $500, not for main area - for bedroom.

Don't get your hopes up. I'm guessing supply chain issues are going to impact black friday.

I got a 65" 4K HiSense two BFs ago for $276 shipped via Best Buy using RTM cashback and some cashback from a credit card. Starting price was $299. So you'd hope to find one for $300-350 this year, I guess.

This BF will not be a traditional BF that we all are used to. Stores are limiting sales and limited items per person to keep their shelves from going empty. In the past, businesses would set discounts at the end of the year to show fiscal improvements for the entire year. Hence moving revenue to the "black" by end of year. Due to the disrupted supply chain, we can expect supply and demand effect on popular items. Not only will businesses will have lower revenues as forecasted but consumers will have less spending power because of rising inflation.
