Side note for anyone looking for the OLED… Went into a local Walmart today and they had just got a bunch that morning and picked one up. It also was for some reason cheaper, $332 instead of $350. I used to work for Walmart back in the day and remember they get shipments on Thursday's, so it might be worth checking for those who are looking for one. To think I got this in person, cheaper, earlier than having had preordered in months ago in July. I have yet to get that preorder updated to any kind of shipping process…
I personally love Blasphemous [nintygamer.com], and outside of Metroid, it's my favorite Metroidvania-styled game. I liked it a lot more than Hollow Knight or Axiom Verge.

The combat takes some getting used to since it's sort of like Dark-Souls-meets-Castlevania in that it's weighty while also highlighting verticality, but once you get in the groove, it's incredibly satisfying.

Also, on top of that, it's one of the best-designed pixel art games from an art direction standpoint. Every locale absolutely oozes (or bleeds) a grotesque atmosphere reminiscent of Spanish-Catholic Gothicism, so much so that the narrative is almost entirely structured upon concepts of penitence and submission. Coupled with keeping the Spanish dub on for dialogue, and it's an absolutely enthralling experience.
Oceanhorn is like Zelda.

Excellent price for Hob. I had this free on PC, but I picked it up for Switch, because it's much easier for me to play games on the switch than PC.

there's so many games on sale for 1.99 as well, like Thief Simulator for example. Great game.

Never heard of any of these titles, and just bought a switch after about 15 years of dry out time.

For those who have a few seconds, what titles do you like, and what more commonly known game is rightly comparable, to get an idea of gameplay.

So far
Looks like
Hob +1
Thief Simulator +1
and Oceanhorn +1 (which is like Zelda)

Wizard of Legend is a steal at this price of you like rogue dungeon crawlers. It's tough and fun. Even has couch coop.

More like classic Zelda but much faster. It's even in the old 16-Bit graphic style too.

I got Oceanhorn on my phone years ago and yeah, it's very much a Windwaker clone. I loved it but wasn't able to get past the final boss with mobile controls.

Torchlight 2 is a solid port and amazing value at that price, if you like games like Diablo 2 (some of the same devs and composer). Aside from some of the others mentioned, Monster Sanctuary is great and basically a metroidvania mixed with Pokemon, and Slay the Spire is one of the best deck building roguelike/lite games around.

If you enjoyed Blasphemous (and I agree it's a steal for this price), I highly recommend checking our Salt & Sanctuary as well as Death's Gambit. Both are Soulslike Metroidvanias. Of the three, I think S&S is my favorite, followed by Blasphemous, then Death's Gambit, but really they are all great.

For those who haven't played Blasphemous yet, I suggest starting with the demo first.
