No last year's version

I bought this TV in February from Best Buy for $1389+tax. Very happy with it.
amazon QnA seems to agree:

Q: Does this tv support 120 hz?
A: Yes, but not at 4K. You can get 120 Hz at 1440p and 1080p.
I have had absolutely terrible luck with TCL TVs. My first one was very nice but the 3 I have tried since then have been garbage breaking down in 6 months.

Is this the NEW one with the 4k 120hz capability? I thought those had Google TV so wondering how there is a Roku version.

at least that was within warranty. I've had TCL, Vizio and Hisense TVs, can't really complain. The TCL 4 series did die just after the 2yr coverage with credit card. But it was cheap, got heavy use and I really liked the contrast. The cheap Hisense R6 has bee pretty solid so far after a year. My TCL 6 series from 4yrs ago is still going strong so paying full price at launch was worth it for me. So it seems everything will cost more so be sure and get the best product you need.

I was looking to upgrade to a QLED mini LED from TCL but it's going to be harder to find a deal for awhile. The supply chain is really broken, even my old used car is worth more now. Finding parts might be an issue down the road.

I've had good luck with TCL. Local dimming made me choose this one Instead of the Samsung. Best Buy has them for the same price

Also, Amazon says it's the 2021 model? I thought it was 2020. Beat buys is the 2020

Been waiting for this! Any chance it'll be lower on BF or should I just pull the trigger?

I'm assuming/hoping they're just blowing this one out to make pricing space for the 75" 8k during next month's deals. This means there's a chance this one might disappear w/out any restocks (which has happened before with TCLs).

If this is the one you want and "real" HDMI 2.1 isn't a concern for you, I think this is a screaming deal Smilie

Thanks for the input -- super appreciated. Rtings seems to think this is a better deal but I feel like it's generally an inferior TV -- any thoughts? https://www.bestbuy.com/site/hise...Id=6457435
