Mapping allows you to define how it moves to clean vs just randomly spinning and moving around in a room.
Boundary strips keep it from going certain places and can be added/removed without affecting the already defined cleaning area. Boundary strips are good to keep the vacuum out of certain areas at certain times. Like in a messy child's playroom. You may not want the vacuum going I there when your child has a bunch of small toys (lol doll pieces) on the floor, but you do want the vacuum going in there when the room is cleaned up.

It does not have LiDAR and it does not keep a map of your house. That means you can't mark no go zones without the use of the included magnetic strips.
We would have liked to be able to label rooms so that we could exclude an are or send it to just clean a room. Still the lidar model we tried coukd only map one level. If you took it to the basement, it ruined the map. Also, we have dust ruffles on our sofas. The lidar saw them and wouldn't go under the sofas. This one rolls right in.
This model's mapping does have value. First it shows you what the vacuum covered the night before. It also allows the vacuum to go in an intelligent pattern, finishing in less time. The 25C for instance went in a random pattern and ran out of battery before it finished my main level. Since the 25 c doesn't map, it had to start all over after charging.
We really like the G30 Verge. One minor annoyance is that I need to clean the brush every couple of days. It gets a lot of hair in it. Otherwise it is great.
I did have to call eufy for support. I tap the dust cup on the trash can to get it completely empty. One of the hinge pins popped out and was lost. Eufy sent me a replacement. No problem. Excellent support.
Is LVP considered a laminate floor? Just got a new house and not sure what LVP is.
I have this vac to use on LVP and medium carpet. I am incredibly pleased with the level of cleaning. The only disappointment is the previously mentioned lack of "no go" areas with the mapping. This would have made it perfect.
Yes it can. Most of the time I don't use the app anyway. You just push the button on it and it goes until it's done.
We have some darker low pile carpet… and are just mainly looking for something that can be run to regularly pick up the usual white fuzz or string thread that show up regularly on darker carpet. (One of the reasons I hate our carpet)
We have an older Eufy, but it's gotten to where it's suction doesn't seem to be half as good as it used to be. I've even tried replacing all the filters and such in it too, but no luck.
The one we have that is no longer good:

This will do fine for your use. But I think the 25c will do as well so you may want to wait for the Walmart deal since it's $50 less
Yes they have almost same features. Ive had two lower models and this works the same. I suggest you buy the cheapest.
