I attributed that to a 1 in a 1000 fluke so I decided to order one myself but the way their customer service has treated me when trying to apply a movers coupon and NOW refusing to adjust the price has pretty much guaranteed I will never buy anything that's over $99.99 from them ever again..... And even then only if it's an out of this world deal.
They have officially stopped providing price matches on TVs as of 2017. You didn't know about that policy, but it's been there 'forever' in Internet years. You can return literally anything to Amazon within the return window, unless they say please don't return it to us , *but here's your refund anyway.* Are you sure your buddy's story is correct ?
