It gets bright enough where you can't look directly at it. Should be fine to light most rooms. But it really will depend on your camera settings. Slow motion video requires much more light than regular video. But in 95% of cases, this light along with a light box/diffuser is all most people will need. Nobody filming a studio level movie is buying this light. For all the home creators, this light is excellent for the price. The only downside being the fan noise so don't mic up too close to it. At $99, this is a steal for the performance you get.

I have this light for my YouTube videos. It's great and godox updated the fan and it's not loud at all. Mics don't pick it up.

Dude, that was EXACTLY what I was thinking...except I thought they were like $2 diodes LOL. Ive bought tons of diodes that look exactly like it on AliExpress for $1.2 - $3. If it doesn't say it's cree or a good brand name, then it's Chinese trash.

Edit...it's definitely a cheap $3 diode. If the site doesn't say anything about the brand or quality of the diode except CRI, which is lmpossible to check, then it's junk.

IDK how powerful you need exactly, but B&H also has the 100W version on sale. There's also 150W and 200W versions, but they're not on sale.

CRI 93 is disappointing. I have some aputure led panels that are many years old now that are CRI 95, and even with those skin tones can look off (and color correction is much more difficult due to the missing spectrum) . It makes it very hard to combine with naturally lit shots, as the difference in color rendering is hard to compensate for. I honestly thought even entry level lights were all CRI 98+ these days.

TLCI is arguably a better measure than CRI when using the lights for photography or video. It's designed to estimate how a camera would see the light, rather than a human observer in the room. These are TCLI 95.
