If you are in the market for an automotive battery, O'Reilly Auto Parts currently has a fall promo 15% off $100 or more with promo code: HARVEST15. The promo code requires that the order be shipped to home only.

On top of the promo code, their deals page is offering a $20 or $25 O'Reilly Auto Parts gift card after mail in rebate on the purchase of a Super Start Extreme or Super Start Platinum + AGM battery through October 26th, 2021. Must be postmarked by November 26th, 2021.

I purchased a Super Start Platinum + AGM battery ($199.99) then promo code took $30.00 off ($169.99). You'll have to account for sales tax + the $18.00 core charge. That made my subtotal with free shipping to home $205.14. I'll then complete the online rebate form for the $25 gift card essentially making the total price $180.14. A total of $55 off when it's all said and done. The free shipping alone for a battery is worth it.
Your individual total will obviously be different depending on your tax rate and depending on the price of the battery required for your specific vehicle.

Those weren't batteries, they were a space station.

Bring your old core into any O'Reilly Auto Parts and show your receipt. They'll refund you the core charge.

Decent sale on a decent battery (speaking of AGM, I'm not as familiar with lead acid since I've been using AGM exclusively for many years now). It's said that Johnson Controls manufacturers them, they're reputable.

The 3 year warranty is a bit disappointing but not unexpected as this battery is sort of a "value" battery. Alternatively you could look at a higher end AGM such as XS Power, Trojan, Odessey, or X2 Power. These are all premium AGM's and have a price point and warranty to match.

Just a spot check for reference since I'm going to need a new battery fairly soon for one of my vehicles, I looked at X2 Power Group 65. It's $330, you can get a 10% coupon for joining their email list. There's also a "sweet" CB that's doing $62 back on this one, so net is $238 on it before tax/core. The Platinum would come in at $145. X2 has a 60 month non-prorated warranty.

Different people find value in different ways. For some, it's the absolute cheapest battery they can find regardless of specs/quality. Others only want top of the line. Still others are somewhere in between.

Myself, I think the X2 is a good value (just using X2 as an example, the other premium AGM's are also awesome) due to the warranty, performance, excellent quality construction, etc.

169 puts it higher than SAMs club everyday price on AGM batteries. With no trickery or rebates to deal with. I buy about 20 batteries a year for vehicles I work on. Iv only had one Duracell AGM fail in the past 3 years out of 30 or 40 units.

? Agm is a lead acid battery. The practical difference being that agm can be discharged lower. That doesn't make a lot of difference for the application here though.

I regularly buy FLA batteries at rural king for $60. The batteries have all lasted past 3 years, usually like 5. There are few Manufacturers for batteries which make all of them.

Think I'd have thoughts of going lithium at the types of prices we are getting into on this thread. Lol. These auto stores are making a killing off you guys.
