I recently got the U2720Q and Acer Nitro VG280K (was at Costco for $250 now back to $299). For productivity (mostly spreadsheets)

After 2 weeks - Returning the Dell. Terrible quality, line of shadow around the edge of the screen, light leak, and bottom bezel not glued properly and is loose. Also, 28 inch 4K is so much better than 27 inch 4K, and I think will catch on as more companies are releasing them.

The Dell U2720Q / QM does have awesome USB C that is fast and powerful (no intermittent blackouts or sluggish mouse response like with some other USB C monitors). Uniform thin bezel looks amazing.

But I realized, the 28 inch is a much more perfect screen size. When you are sitting at a 55x31 desk with the monitor at the back (or on an arm). You zone into the screen and the 28 inch fills about 80% of vision, where you can look from corner to corner without having to turn your head like you would on a 32 inch or 34 ultra wide, and you don't feel like it's in your face with a billion light particles blasting at your cornea.

Using the 28 inch for a week, switching to the 27 inch felt noticeably smaller.

I ended up going with the Dell S2721QS for $319. If you don't need all the USB-C goodies, it's a good option.

Yeah after I had a 32 inch I could never go back down. It's even harder to find a 32inch 144hz with a good hdr rating

Unless I missed something, the $600 MSRP is exaggerated. The HP U28 4K was on sale for $379 (regular price is $430) at many places a few weeks ago, and I'm bummed I missed out. On paper, the HP has better specs (eg higher Nits, Color calibrated, etc).
