I've never used this particular fence, but I have a few others from Incra.

If new(er) to Incra, make sure to check them to make sure they're square. I had to return my Wonderfence two times because the extrusion wasn't square (luckily I bought it in-store, so on the second return, we went through them until we found one that was indeed square.)

Woodpeckers I'm not a fan of. They're more status than quality for the prices paid. I mean, they make cool items, but I could be dead before I get them. And there just isn't a value with their items. I have a few of them, and they're no more accurate, or effective, than many other brands at half the price.

Incra on the other hand, is usually great (especially when you can get deals like this). But both Woodpeckers and Incra aren't perfect when it comes to the extrusions used. And for the prices they charge, they should be perfect.

So just like any aluminum extrusion, double check them for tolerances. Even Misumi has sent me a poor product now and then.

So I hope you table saw folks enjoy these! Incra is nice to have for convenience that's for certain. I couldn't imagine using my bandsaw, without the Incra jig.
From your comment, I guess you are not a woodworking enthusiast. I can only speak from personal experience but I think I follow the progression of a typical woodworking enthusiast. When I started out, I tolerated all kinds of errors and imprecision because I lacked the tools, knowledge and experience. As I up my knowledge and experience, I acquire more precision tools. But the act of burying precision tools didn't automatically up my woodworking game. I still have to learn to use the tools and hone my techniques. This miter or any other miter won't do you any good if you can't set it up square to your blade. But none of it matters if your blade is not adjusted parallel to your miter track. The more I learn, the more I realize precision is all about the setup. Precision tools help you setup precision cuts more easily and increases repeatability. They don't automatically make your work perfect. Just my $0.02.

BTW I am still trying to master building a square box. The best I have done is 1/16" deviation over 36" diagonal span. I hope this miter will help me reduce that error even more. Not because I paid lots of money for it, but because it will help me make even more square cross cuts once I have it dialed in.
I bought the 1000SE a few years ago and like it a lot. This is a great price and I'm shocked it's from Woodpeckers. I personally wouldn't go any finer than the 120 detents on the V120 & 1000HD. When I was shopping for mine I remember reading complaints about durability on the 364 detent models (3000 & 5000).

Here is a good cheat sheet for anyone interested: https://incra.com/info/MiterGauge_Brochure.pdf

Yeah. I wish I could find free shipping code somewhere but couldn't. Still cheap and comparable to the best deal for this miter gauge.

love their micro adjustable flipstops, but at this pricerange, I would prefer incra V120 (with one degree detents all the way)

I wonder if it's overkill with a dewalt 10" compact saw? I supposed I could transfer it if I upgrade saws later.

It actually added much uses to my Bosch 10" jobsite saw. Makes cut more accurate, the purpose of having a table saw; and safer, a major concern of using a table saw.

Thanks. I've been eyeing this clone from bangg (drill pro Upgraded Brass Handle Miter Gauge Assembly Ruler With T-track for Table Saw Router Woodworking) before this sale but now after the sale, it's bringing the price a bit closer hmmm…

Is it essentially something like this or a sled? Is there a practical, DIYer/hobbyist reason to have both? I don't have either, but my table saw, Skil 6307, doesn't have a ton of table front to back so I feel like a sled wouldn't be as useful.

My other issue when I look at these is the fact I'd likely use my miter saw for most cross cuts so it probably wouldn't be used as much as people that don't have one. I always look at these, think they would be awesome, but then think about when I would use it and I don't know (same with a sled). Sure, once in a blue moon, but that isn't worth the cost of this nor time to make a sled. So someone sell it to me 😁 (...and so I can sell the idea to my wife, too!)

I'm on the same boat. I need to get this or the sled.
