I was looking for a new gaming monitor and ran into this one during my research. The previous low on SD was $479.99. So this was an insta-buy for me at an additional $30 off.
I have this monitor, great monitor. I don't use it for gaming, use it for office work, and the size is perfect (allows side by side windows, or even 4x windows).
VA vs different screen tech always gets raised, but as 34" monitors go for office use / occasional YouTube, I'm happy
Regarding price, I got mine for $423 a few months ago, when it was listed as 17% off the price at the time, so not feeling its a SlickDeal, but you also cannot turn back the clock to get that price!!
It's a VA and smears/blurs in some game. No go for me. Nice price but it seems like everyone is using VA tech to get the refresh rate up and while VA is acceptable for non-gaming... it's a no-go at least for me.
"The Dell has a VA panel with much better black uniformity and better contrast. The IPS panel on the Gigabyte has much better viewing angles and a faster response time, resulting in clearer motion with less blur behind fast-moving objects."
Little bit different of a monitor. This is an ultra wide while that's a typical 1440p monitor that's upsized. This is also the better monitor in almost every way.

I game on mine and no blur or black smearing (call of duty, new world, flight sim). Love this monitor
They do say it's game by game. It is a very good monitor but I fear that since I've been using IPS for well over a decade or more, that I would notice it and it would drive me nuts.
It just seems like you either have IPS at 75hz or VA at 144+hz on the lower end and IPS 100hz or 120hz at the higher end. I guess I want IPS 120hz at VA prices
If you can get your hands on a 10% off newsletter coupon or 15% off mailer will make this a better deal. Got the AW3821DW for right about $1k a few weeks ago with a 15% off mailer and the $1259 sales price

You can also get 15% off if you're military/a veteran.

You guys obviously never had a 32" 4k curved, why would you go to this let's assume it's just for office work. You can't beat the real estate in pixels if you're sitting like a foot away. It's wider but not taller and quality resolution is shit for any 34 or 35" ultra wide vs 4k.

Definitely a great monitor, though. I can't wait to pick one up.
