Better off getting a Unifi Dream Machine, cheaper and better than this. WTF is a "gaming" router anyways?

Unifi Dream Machine is great for the right market, but it's missing some critical features for power users. For example, it can't even run a VPN client!

Also, while Asus support is hit and miss, Ubiquiti support is non-existent. There's threads people have posted on Reddit showing support emails that got a reply *6 months* later.

If you live on the border of another you probably can.

Gaming router = marketing for people that don't do their research

These are just too much for about 99% of people. Yes, even gamers. It's overkill. Don't fall for the hype.

I bought this router because of the WAN side 10Gbe port and LAN side SFP+ port. I'm getting 1.4 Gbps Internet through it and it handles 68 clients without breaking a sweat, range is awesome and I can get 550 Mbps in my WiFi 5 devices.

Only negatives are guest networks don't extend to other AIMesh nodes (with this router you probably don't need one) and no Merlin.
