Agreed, I have a few 40" parallel clamps but beyond that it's pipe clamps.

I own both, and clone is a very far leap. Plastic threads on the HF couldn't crank very hard at all. The Bessey would clamp glue out of a joint entirely at 50% pressure.

Got two of these for $60, and 2 of the 40" Bora's on the last deal for ~$78. Clamp wall is coming along nicely - time for a glue-up!

I'm not sure what clamps you bought but you obviously don't have what I'm talking about. The HF clones of the original Bessey K-body parallel clamps were pretty much the spitting image of the Bessey clamps outside of the color and clamp handle. Here is a picture showing a Bessey (red), HF Pittsburgh (grey) and a Stanley (yellow). The HF/Pittsburgh don't have any plastic threads so, again I don't think we are on the same page. I've owned just about every brand of parallel clamps and the Stanley's are my favorite but like the HF versions the Stanley's haven't been available for years. IIRC the HF versions were available in 12" and 24" and were something like $16.99/$18.99 per clamp at full retail. These were available back when the 20% and 25% coupons were also available so, they were really affordable compared to the name brands.

Correct... they currently do not sell parallel clamps. However, years ago they did... see my earlier post with the link to a picture showing them HF/Pittsburgh parallel clamps.
