It's not quite as cheap (well, relatively speaking) as the B&H Photo deal back in June for $770, but this is a hefty discount on this premium player. Not sure if it's the
mark 1 or mark 2 [techweekmag.com] but I don't think there's a huge difference between the two other than different DAC.
Should stave off buyer's remorse for a year or two. Based on a quick web trawl, it doesn't look like Panasonic will be releasing replacements for this line until sometime next year.

Don't forget projectors. These are a great match for projectors with their tone mapping.
I already have the UB420 in my home theater. I know I don't need the UB9000, but I want it. That being said, I should save my pennies for another subwoofer.
