Kk thanks. I've been trying to get the walmart non slim legion 5 pro with no success. Wouldn't mind slim version but see this has soldered ram (2 x8gb), anyone know if expandable?, 300 nit (vs 500nit), and obv 3060 (w 6gb ram, this a deal killer?) vs 3070 gpu, and dual 1+1tb ssd on slim is legit vs 500gb ssd on non slim. Any thoughts on why one might be overwhelmingly better than the other?

Just checked and it looks like it's 512GB SSD (BB version) vs this one which is 2TB (1TB + 1TB).
If you're looking for sheer performance, then the Legion 5 pro is the way to go. I chose the Legion Slim 7 just because I wanted a lightweight, sleek laptop for everyday use which I can use for gaming occasionally (and a 100w 3060 can run almost any game at ultra settings at 1080p with >60fps). I also liked that it has a fingerprint sensor which the L5P doesn't. I don't run RAM heavy softwares anyway, so the 16gb maximum dual channel memory wasn't a deal breaker (even if you upgrade to 32gb on the sodimm slot, you only still have 16gb running on dual channel, the rest is single channel). I have been using it for a couple of months now, and really love this laptop!
I assume no way to join that unless your work qualifies or something? Or can anyone become a member?
