lots of really old overpriced garbage even after discount, so shop carefully.
Be aware a lot of these systems will not technically support windows 11.
Yes these are old, but thanks OP for posting. At time of this post, there are 4 different configs available with i7 6th gen and 32gb ram.
Any of which would make a good blueiris security camera box for around $300-$345 shipped.

This is where I got my computer to run blue iris (i7 6th gen). I also run a Plex server on it and it works great. Been running for a couple years now with no issues.

I have bought two refurbs from Dell and they have been excellent values imo. Set your expectations straight and you'll be content.
I got 3 - $400 dollar desktops a year ago, and 2/3 are alive today unfortunately. Still not a bad deal.

I guess most consumers are spoiled and always feel like they have to have the latest phone or computer to feel special or something. I've seen so many comments about this stuff being old, but it's not like over 6 years! I have customers still using computers over 10 years old and they are not complaining! At least these Dell refurbished computers are business class, not consumer grade crap you buy at retail stores. And being business class, they tend to support whatever OS you want to put on them! So what if the laptop is 2-3 years old, it will still work fine for most applications! I bought a latitude laptop last year from Dell refurbished with an i7 and other good specs for $400 something and it has been great. I could have paid $1300+ for it new but the price I paid for a previously leased laptop was reasonable!
I don't think that too many people are complaining about these PCs being trash, just that these deals are trash from a value standpoint. You can get the same ones on eBay like others were saying for half the price. And BTW, hate your cellphone example. Cell phones from 6 years ago are going to be almost completely unusable unless it was a really expensive flagship model from back then but even then, security and app updates are going to be non-existent.

I have purchased twice from these deals but I must say it's not worth the price. After a couple of months of usage, you will find different parts like the keyboard, mic dying randomly. So, be careful.

Did Dell buy these from Goodwill? They are old!

Off lease business computers. Most come from FedEx.

It's not the right mindset in my opinion. If someone needs a new computer for business, and even loosely for personal, you should spend a few dollars more to make your next change later down the road. Would you rather save money now and get an older tower, but have to replace that tower in 3-6 years, or would you rather spend a few dollars more and replace the next tower 8-12 years?

Not bad for micro form factor. For whatever reason they seem to cost more than normal towers when new.

Got myself a 7050MFF with i5-7600 for $283 after tax. Should be perfectly capable of streaming videos and browsing the web.
