Is this a typical deal for this item? I want one of the bullet style ones, hoping for a similar discount this coming month.

Just FYI, the bullet style only work well for liquidy type stuff, dressings, sauces and what not. If you're doing something like pesto, they get goopy, ingredients stick to the sides and don't blend well or at all.

Cheers,

Agree with this. I've got a nutribullet that I'm looking to replace with a more traditional blender.

This is poorly made. Mine broke trying to move it on the counter. The bottom is an air vent which is extremely fragile plastic.

Not sure 200watts will make a huge difference but we like having the to go cups is a big factor for me and I don't think the SS201 model can use the to go cups.

Cheers,
Thanks for the info, I just want it for smoothies. This brand seems like super overhyped and I had tried to find an alternative that wasn't Ninja or Nutribullet but when I looked at all the options for spending under $200 it still seems like it will be worthwhile. I hate washing the whole jar every day.

I definitely wouldn't use a bullet for smoothies, you want a Vitamix or another well known blender for that. Yes, they are worth the money, even if you just use it for smoothies, which is pretty much what I do with my Vita...

Ok well I'm not rich I can't spend $300 on a blender lol. I watched plenty videos and it will suffice for my needs compared to my current "Smoothie making" Black and Decker which cant even get all the chunks out of fresh fruit let alone frozen. Vitamix is also an overhyped brand sold at a premium for name recognition.

All well known "name brand" blenders/mixers with a similar motor and features are going to be priced the same. Ninja, Blendtec, Vitamix and so on, doesn't matter. It comes down to what you desire in your mixer, how much you want to pay and which brand you think is better than the others. My Vita was given to me, it works well, so I use it, it's that simple.

Maybe this would be more useful for you as it can be used for multiple applications in your kitchen. Probably not the best for smoothies, but funtional beyond that.

Were you able to deal with the company satisfactorily over this issue? I purchased one before seeing this but it seemed to have good reviews overall, and I just wanted the food processor part mostly as I've purchased another blender.

Target refunded me as I did not want to accidentally break it again.
