I'm a Zenni convert for sure. My teen daughter has switched to contacts, so buying an expensive pair of glasses to use maybe an hour or two a week (indoors before bed) didn't make sense. So we now have 2-3 pair of cheap glasses for her.

And my wife has a nasty habit of misplacing glasses. So we have (literally) 10 pair of glasses floating around the house/cars for her.

21 year old son has maybe 8 pair himself.

And this is all a LOT cheaper than buying just one expensive pair at Costco or wherever.

We've had two issues with our Zenni orders. One they took care of promptly and one I just got too lazy to contact them about, so I just forgot about it (since we have so many.)

All in all, I'm a fan.

Edit: because I just get the cheap included lenses most of the time these days, this sale doesn't really help me much. Typically they'll offer a BF or Cyber Monday deal of like 20% off everything. That's what I've been waiting for before I order a couple more pair.
Wake me up when it's 50% off the frames
Bought glasses here many times. Have had no issues at all.

i was under impression this was for glasses and frames

The flash sale clearly states 30% off Lenses & Coatings; not frames. I've been using them for years, and luckily have a standard frame that's $12. Their 30% off progressive, photochromatic lenses makes this a great deal. The usual frame & lens discount is 20% off total when it shows up a couple of times a year. If you're looking for single vision with a stylish frame upgrade, you're better off with the 20%. Probably will show up between now and the end of the year.

Has anyone purchased recently? How has the shipping time frame been? I've ordered in the past and gotten them before the 14-21 days but a slower post office and the worker shortage, I don't know what to expect.

I've had them take 10-21 days to arrive to the west coast. Last pair was just under 2 weeks. Pretty sure they're air freighting them from China to their west coast distribution center. We all know the mail's messed up. I'd expect 2-3 weeks, to not be disappointed. You can track their progress through manufacturing.

Goggles4U has the best prices and better quality. (As does Costco)

I've ordered several pairs at different times (different family members) from Zenni, their quality isn't great and the frames didn't seem to fit that well.

Agree, goggles4u rocks, I am constantly getting 70% off entire order coupons. I have used Zeni too and they are also a solid choice

No. They make lenses only for the frames that they sell.

Thanks, picked up some sunglasses.

For anyone still wandering about shipping times, I recently ordered two "backup" pairs while waiting for the Warby try-ons to arrive. Ordered on Oct 22, shipped Oct 27th (CA), arrived on the 29th (MD) via USPS. All-in-all not terrible.

I get full-frames since I'm heavy-handed/accident prone with glasses, and while the frames aren't as "sleek" as the Warbys they do seem well made. Didn't even need to get them adjusted, while I usually have to get my Warbys adjusted (including the latest pairs because of slight pinching).

Try Fetch Eyewear? I learned about them after ordering too many pairs in between zenni/warby, but they seem to both fit lenses for your old frames and have a lifetime warranty on their standard frames. I have no personal experience with their quality/customer service, though.

I got LASIK in 2001. I started noticing worsening eyesight by 2010 and I was back in glasses by 2014. They weren't so upfront about the fact that it wouldn't last forever.
LASIK corrects your vision when it works, but nothing in the world can keep eyes from getting worst with age or misuse, just like any other part of the human body.

They do that now? Last year they wouldn't make an extra set of lens for biking glasses bought a few months earlier, though with a different prescription.

Yes, and I thought it might happen, but I didn't think it would be so noticeable after less than 10 years.

Sorry, I meant that they don't make lenses for any frame that they themselves don't sell, not that you can buy extra lenses for a frame you bought previously.

You can buy extra frames without prescription lenses though. They used to offer a 50% discount on "frames alone", but now they are sold at full price. The benefit is if you tend to break your frames, with an extra frame you can just move the old lenses into the new frame.
