Been this price for a few weeks now, but a solid deal if your after one.

To answer your question it really depends on what you need ( or want LOL). I was also after an impact drill and pulled the trigger on the Dewalt XR impact drill with the bare oscillating tool for $180 at Lowes, but think it's back up to $200 for the combo.

1.5ah battery is about the same as using 4 AA's. I'd wait for a deal with a legitimate battery. That thing will eat 1.5ah in minutes under heavy use.

Did you notice that they pretty much fail to mention the battery capacity anywhere in the product description?

If you want this specific tool, this is a pretty good deal. This is also one of the lowest value tools when it comes free in the combos so it would not be smart to pick it with the combos.

However, if you're on Milwaukee m12 or m18 platform get the fuel oscillating tool instead, much more powerful, less vibration and tool less blade change as well.

So much bad info in this thread. These people don't know what they are talking about.

This is the top of the line DeWalt oscillating tool, the XR version.
Yes the battery is probably the smallest one available, but it's fine for small jobs.
Yes this package has been this price off and on for months now. I have never seen it go cheaper than this. I bought it at this same price back in June I think.

Bottom line, if you have a use for this tool, then this is a good price for it and you should get it.

I have this - my BIGGEST and only disappointment is the silver thumb lever that you have to use/depress to change out the blades (or whatever you're using) - it's made of plastic ! You have to exert a pretty good amount of thumb-force on the lever and being that it's plastic (that's been painted silver), it does make me concerned about the durability of this critical piece.
