Better off getting the simpsons arcade from walmart @ $500 if you can track one down since it seems like stores are receiving them.

Also kohls has a limited selection of them and are offering $120 in kohls cash back plus 5% rewards on top.

I don't understand how a MDF box and a couple of cheap chinese components inside equals 700 dollars...... I just don't get it.

Exactly. The die hard fans will buy them but majority won't at these prices.
Paying More then 299-399 for these is insane.

For Tron, I'm guessing Disney made them pay a premium for the license...but you're absolutely right. This pricing is crazy.

That said, if you've tried to buy a used arcade game in the last 2-3 years, you'll notice that the prices have gone up exponentially. Tron cabs have doubled in price, at a minimum. So there is clearly demand. Also, the price to build your own with reproduction parts is also significant. You're talking close to $1000 just for the complete artwork package. Nevermind monitor/spinner/joystick and Pi.

They really need some actual competition, raising the price to $700 while providing less games on each cabinet is insane.
