I had this one before upgrading to the newer Microsoft Xbox Stereo Headset and it's decent enough for most people I'd say. It definitely doesn't look the nicest but for the price it's a good buy.

Quick question, does it include the Xbox One Stereo Headset Adapter?

If so, that ALONE is worth the price (since you can mute your mic) and plug in any 3.5mm headset/etc.

So can you just plug this into the controller and use with a series X? If so, I'm all over it since my son seems to break a headset about every 3 months.

This headset looks cool, but I've owned one, and the build quality really leaves something to be desired. Specifically, the construction is entirely plastic, and because of the size and weight of the speaker cups, and relatively small size of the ball/socket that attaches them to the frame; the torque causes the plastic socket to disintegrate around the ball.
Once that happens, it's all downhill. The speaker cup will be flopping around loose in the socket, you'll probably hear the bits of plastic that used to be the socket rattling around, and the extra strain will transfer to the speaker and mic wires.
If you're buying this for the adapter, you're fine. Just don't expect a lot of mileage out of the headphones themselves.

Update: please look at the reviews and attached images on Amazon before purchase! It seems a lot of people have received open-box items when they ordered new. Also, it looks as if many have arrived sans adapter (headphones only) with the image of the adapter taped over on the box: https://www.amazon.com/portal/cus...VJ5UGMH9X2

I have owned a couple of these. The first pair lasted for several years. The earphone cover for the padding came off and I bought a new one. My new cat ate my headphone wire a week after I got it. I went wireless. I personally like the headset. Sound was good and I thought the fit was nice. I like it better than the headphones I have now, they are too loose on my head and fall down if I lean forward. $15 I'm in for one.

The adapter is what got me. I usually just use the type of cheapy headset that used to come with the xbox but they only last about 8 months before I'm back at best buy using my ext warranty. At least now when my crappy headset dies I won't have to rush to the store and I can use earbuds or anything I want.
