Target released exclusive 4k versions of several Disney movies a few years ago. Most of these movies have been clearanced out of the stores, but there are two that remain -
Frozen II [target.com]
Toy Story 4 [target.com]
The current sale price is $17, about half off the original price of $34.99. However, these qualify for the current Buy 2, Get 1 Free promotion. If you buy three copies of these movies in any combination, the price goes down to $11.33 each. You can then return one or two of the movies and the price remains at $11.33 each. Target Red Card holders will save an additional 5%.

yes, buy three and immediately cancel two and you are good to go
Thanks, it appears to have worked. Never did this before, feel kinda dirty, but I've ordered enough from Target recently to not feel too bad 😂

For the 4k version you need a 4k UHD player and TV, but it also comes with a regular Blu-ray disc version that would work with your TV and if you have a Blu-ray player. Comes with a digital version too that would work on your TV through the movies anywhere app on a firestick, roku, android tv, google tv etc.
As long as your player can read 4K UHD and your TV has the appropriate HDCP version (this is for DRM. Don't know which is needed), it should work if you use the 4K disc but colors will look off. As the other person said, best to get the blu ray if you have a blu ray player. If you only have a DVD player, you are out of luck with this deal but can probably get the DVDs cheaper anyway
So turns out I messed up and we already own one of the movies. Since it was a "buy 2 get one free", if I return one does that mean I wouldn't get any money back and they'd just take it? Or do they give me back the money for the one item minus the proportional piece of the discount?
