Because not everyone is an audiophile. Some of us just want better quality sound and don't require it to be perfect. Anyways I don't think any audiophile is buying this set

If you don't want to do the homework to educate yourself in Home Theater, just go to Best Buy and they'll sell you something. Those Magnolia guys will even come to your house.

Just an FYI on the reference theater pack. There is a known issue with a constant hum on the subwoofer when its on. You can barely hear it but it's there. It's an issue with the wireless controller in it. There is a step by step to remove the Amp, disconnect it and it helps a little bit but you have to have it wired. Other than that, its a good small setup for the money.

Tempting. I am currently running an old Infinity TSS-450 5.1 set (https://www.crutchfield.com/S-TF9...coal.html) - wondering if these would be better - I'm guessing they would be? My Infinity sub croaked so am running with a nice $300 Polk Audio one now that I found on the side of the road and fixed! (Their support is awesome)
