Cables are terrible for anything that's not a driving or flying sim. If you have a WiFi 6 router, get virtual desktop. Enable its lag feature and it will feel like playing on wired, but wireless. It is really amazing.
If you played wired on the other hand you will constantly be trying to untangle yourself which is really annoying
Yes. Worse case, get a refund if you play under 2hours within 2 weeks
Ideally, you want a router that supports wifi 6. Also you're going to have to hook your PC to it via Ethernet (wired).
It's on Steam, and if you want the best performance you need to buy and use Virtual Desktop from the Oculus store. That's the best way to use Oculus with Steam.
