1st time posting, but I was looking for a decent trail shoes when I came upon the Nike Pegasus Trail 3 at finishline. Seems like a good deal, there are 3 colors and many sizes available. It must be added to bag to see the price.

From the reviews I've seen online, they seem to be good on dry and technical trails but not so good on wet slippery trails. https://youtu.be/jcyS_QAcsQg

FYI: These were $75 recently at Finish line: https://slickdeals.net/f/15305743-nike-pegasus-trail-3-shoes-75-at-finish-line?src=SiteSearchV2Algo1
Personally, I have been very happy using the regular Nike Pegasus 37 on technical trails.

Went hiking with these at Zion. The heel part is too wide, allowing pebbles to enter easily. The heel lip is also annoying because it snags on small crevices. The ankle portion sits too high so bigger movements push the hard edge against the bottom of your ankle. Same goes with the back heel edge that digs into your Achilles tendon when you plantar flex your foot. The top is double meshed for breathability but once sand gets in there, it's trapped and nearly impossible to remove. Worst of all, any slick or dusty surfaces e.g., dry granite or dusty flat rocks, it looses all grip. The only good thing about this shoe is the cushion: I can barely feel any rocky surfaces, but not surprising since the sole is thick. I wouldn't risk running on a hilly yet well paved trail with these as you might slip and fall. I love the normal pegasus series (been buying since 2017) but this trail iteration fails miserably.

Yup. I had a pair I got from REI and they went back the next day. It had rained the night before and these shoes were terrible traction wise on wet rocks and branches. Also, the toe box was tighter than the same size road Pegasus for me. If I had kept them, I would have gone a half size up.

My Saucony were 100x more stable on the same wet surfaces.

That said, the Pegasus were comfortable and well cushioned.

I have these and think that they're really good all around trail running sneakers but they definitely are not great with wet traction, especially on unpaved surfaces. I got mine off of nike.com a few weeks ago for a little bit more than this price. Overall, a decent general purpose running sneaker but with a few caveats

I do road-to-trail in these and love them aside from the fact that they're a bit heavy. I haven't tried them on wet surfaces yet as reviews like the above warn against it. The support is great, perfect for my wider feet and look so damn good. People stop me to ask what model it is.

Honestly for the most part, that's the same with all Nike Trail shoes. Still, a great ride!
