the ratchet kit was 150 and the screwdriver has been 70 for weeks now. yes its only one battery but whatever for 99 bux i think its solid.

Not the fuel (brushless) versions, but a great option for homeowners or young folks looking for their first small, cordless toolset. Traditionally you'd buy a drill/driver set, but many may find more use out of the ratchet than a drill.

Edit: Not exactly sure why I was getting the downvote train: I was just pointing out these aren't the fuel. I'm well aware most commenters like to point out that the non-fuel ratchet is smaller than the original fuel model, but keep in mind there is a newer high-speed fuel model that is said to have their most compact head. Like I said originally, this is great option for many users and it is an excellent price for what it is.
Damn, I need a new ratchet but was trying to wait for the 20v dewalt. Be nice to match most of my other batteries but I do have a couple red tools.
For the guys who are wondering about the fuel vs this one, loss of power, etc… I never use these solo. I always (almost always) use a non-power ratchet or wrench to finish tightening. I like to get a better feel for how tight things are. Where these are really great is when assembling something… let's say you are doing a brake job and you need to take a ton of stuff off and put it back on. You you most likely need to use a hand tool to break the bolts loose but after that you can zip off everything quickly and easily. When it is time to go back together it's the same, snug up everything with this then go back and hand tighten. These are great when you have a weird angle or limited space; one you get it started this will zip off a bolt and you don't have t9 keep moving your hand or arm, sockets slipping off every time, etc.
These save your wrists, save multiple cuts from turning your hand in tight spots, etc. I just put together a wood chipped after sharpening and there is at least 10-12 bolts that go around the housing. It's hard to hold it together and tighten the screws but my old air ratchet made it easy. Otherwise I would've had to try to clamp it together and all that. Air ratchets are ok, but the hose makes it a pain.

Ok, I convinced myself. I'm in for one. Tired of using air
No. Many pros use the non-fuel version. You won't notice a difference. Ratchet is about speed/efficiency, not about minimal foot lb differences. And this comes out to less than half the price of the fuel version. 95% of my milwaukee tools are fuel. This is one item that is not.

I do greatly prefer the 4-in-1 installation driver to this screwdriver, but that's a different price class as well. This is a great deal for this kit.

i been eyeballing both of these. the screwdriver for around the house and the ratchet for some car work. at 99 bux i myself couldent pass it up. i understand those that NEED the fuel ratchet and the 20 extra ft lbs but thats also 200 for just the ratchet kit.

I believe the screwdriver is in a kit with an extra 1.5ah battery (2 total) for $69 if someone needs just that and the ratchet.

In regards to the ratchet I think the consensus is that the non-fuel version has a much better form factor (smaller) but you do sacrifice some power

Have an older version of this screwdriver and I love it. But my batteries are pretty much dead and one is completely defective. They maybe lasted two years, maybe.

With that, this deal has me hesitating. I know the screwdriver is awesome, but only getting one battery is extremely concerning to be based on my history with the m12 batteries.

Good combo …Would buy but may never use the driver - ever since i got the dewalt gyroscopic i have yet to reach for another, all others collecting dust now…slightly underpowered for heaviest duty driving but surprisingly tackles most with ease

As an amateur, am I gonna regret not getting the fuel version? What will this fail at?
