Pretty certain 1TB is enough even for Win10/11. SSD is ideal as boot drive these days, but 7200 RPM and SATA III will still work. Wish it's $15 and will buy a few. Anyone knows if this vendor is legit? TIA

Yes, the vendor is legit - they normally cater to IT and enterprises. This is part of a holiday sale they're doing.

It looks like this might be expired. It shows as $42.92 per drive for me .

The point of saying let's install Windows XP had nothing to do with the size of the operating system, it was a joke about the age of Windows XP and the fact that 1 TB hard drives should be extinct by now

If you want $15 per TB, you would need to buy 4TB or 5TB HDD.

I understand it's a joke alright, no disrespect there. Just that some maybe under a budget yet wants at least a TB drive, which in this case still ok. Like I said, it would be better if the price is at $15.

Thanks. Yes, I saw a 4TB NAS drive that's closer to $15/TB. I do like the 1TB drive so in case of failure I don't lose multiple TB of stuffs. Will be using as storage/backup anyway.
