There are lots of parts for this on thingiverse that can be 3d printed.
How much replay value is in this kit? Is there enough parts to be able to build different designs for kids to stay interested?
Been looking at it for a while but not sure of the value...

The second promo video looks like it would cost a few thousand $ to build lol

My 11-yo kids (and myself) really enjoy GraviTrax. We've purchased 4 of the XL sets and some add-ons over the past couple years. It's great for developing problem-solving skills.

It's expensive for what it is but the replay factor is good.

The stock kit has at least 4 preset tracks you can build but really it's just like legos you can build any arrangement you want so the variations are limitless... that said my kid's set is just sitting there in a corner now.

We've had a lot of fun. With other GraviTrax sets that my kids have. Seems like getting vertical more easily would be really helpful in making long and more fun runs. Thanks OP

GraviTrax is like Lego modularity in a marble run form. Check out the FAQs and discussions on the GraviTrax Fans Facebook group to see what folks build, and to compare the various GraviTrax starter sets. Regarding value, most of us have paid full retail for this set, or perhaps $10 off using Target's occasional Toy coupons. Here it is half off. This is the best price ever seen for this set. You won't find a better price.

I'd say the only downside is that the gradations in levels that make the marbles go are very subtle, which means if you dont have a level surface, it wont work.
The gradations in levels are 5mm each (1/2 height tiles) and 10mm each (full height tiles), But they are adjustable. If the marble stalls at any place, you have to add or remove height tiles to adjust the gradation. All GraviTrax rails accommodate ranges of gradations; they are not fixed. So it will work. You just have to adjust the gradations to make it work.

Do you think she's too old for it?
Just as there are many adult Lego fans, there are a lot of adult GraviTrax fans. Over 2000 of us on the GraviTrax Fans group on Facebook, regularly sharing our builds with each other. Check out the group for what is possible!

Thanks for all the feedback! I did get the kit and even if he doesn't like it I'll get some use out of it. The box is BIG since Target didn't have a bag it'll fit in so at least it'll look impressive under the tree 🤣

I'd still be happy if it's like the $400 worth of Hex Bugs I got on CL for $25, sitting in the closet and come out every few months for a day of use 👍

Thanks for posting this! Have looked at it a few times because a friend recommended it for my daughter who turns 12 in January. She hasn't specifically asked for it. Do you think she's too old for it?
If she's into this kind of thing, then yeah, might be a cool gift! I'd have loved to get this when I was that age (late 20s F now). Has she asked for anything specific or made any hints?

My 5 year old has put together some incredible marble runs using the marble genius sets. Trying to decide if this may be a bit too advanced for him and if i just get him more marble genius sets. He's seen some videos of GraviTrax runs and always begs me to get it for him. Normally i would just ignore it since 5 year olds want every new toy or gadget they see, but he's impressed me so much with the marble runs he's made that I'm considering this

If you are not buying any other more expensive toys on Target, I think Target Circles offers now has another 25% off single toy coupon for another $9 off.

Ditto to this! Offer ends Dec 4th. Might place another order and return previous one at the same store.
