It's a nice figure IMO, and poses better than the last Rodimus (weak legs).
This is a grand figure. I paid full price and it's still worth it. Check out some YouTube reviews.

This deal is also $59.99 at Target but they hardly have any stock instores (lots of Transformers hoarders in Target stores)
Pros:
* Removable car - While not as stylish as the SS86 Hot Rod, the solo vehicle mode on this is pretty good as a stand alone figure
* Plenty of accessories - The Explosion effect and smoke effects are generous and help bring some action/life to the figure. The foldable rifle is a nice touch (although I do with it could become 2 guns like the previous figure) and the new sword is a nice touch. The cab cannon is a faithful recreation of the original G1 toy and it can even be attached to the top of the cab or back of the action figure as a backpack cannon, or even used standalone. The matrix this unit comes with is normally kept within a chest compartment, something the SS86 Hot Rod couldn't do, and the PoTP Rodimus didn't "really" do.
* Lots of 5mm ports all over the cab in vehicle mode and battle platform mode - This allows collectors to pose their figures in various different modes including battle, weaponized, and connected to other base figures. I've personally put weaponizer and battlemaster units/parts all over the battle platform and it looks amazing.
* It's LARGE - I didn't expect the figure to be as big as it is, but I'd say the alt mode is even bigger than Optimus Primes.
Cons:
* Rodimus's face looks like a grumpy old tired man. Once you see it it's hard not to.
* In alt mode, if you keep the cannon in the cab, it does tend to not be able to stay completely closed. This urks a lot of collectors, so keep this in mind.
I bought it at full price and love it. At this price? I would definitely recommend picking it up if you're a collector or Hot Rod/Rodimus fan.

Hot rod got Optimus killed. 8yo me will never forget.
There was a toy documentary on Netflix and transformers was one that they focused on. It was wild how they just dumped the shit on one guy who came up with everything over the weekend. They expected it to last 2 years max so they killed off prime to sell new toys. Even the guy who created it was pissed they killed prime.
