Milwaukee M18 drill is tough to loosen the chuck

11,861 2,022 November 28, 2021 at 01:42 PM
I don't know what happened but sometimes I have to use Channellocks to hold the drill in order to loosen the chuck to remove a drill bit or whatever. Is there a way to lube it up safely? Is it just a matter of WD40 or PB Blasterto make it easier? Or will that somehow risk damaging something on the inside?

How old is it?

I have a few Milwaukee drills that I ended up sending in for repair. They replaced the chucks on all of them.

The chucks are the biggest complaints I hear, regarding the Milwaukee drills.

I only paid shipping. Milwaukee repaired them as long as they were under warranty.
