This is a weird Lego theme. Is this targeted towards the mainland China market?
It's based off the Amazon Prime TV show for kids that is based off of famous Chinese folklore. izx is wrong about it being targeted toward mainland China because the show is only available in English AFAIK. I literally just watched the 40 min pilot/movie two days ago and it was good, as are the usual Lego movies. This would be targeted toward kids of families with a Chinese background, though the story has also played an influence in other Asian cultures. Goku's flying cloud, magical staff, monkey tail, etc.
If you like Stephen Chow movies, check out Journey to the West.

Thanks for the heads up. Lego seems to be building a new theme and franchise kind of like Ninjago but steeped with Chinese folklore. The sets are eye catching, especially this one.

The show is available in a few different languages and only recently came to Amazon Prime. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/L...#TV_Series But yeah, the target audience is definitely Asia/China.
