Same and I absolutely love the giant glue gun, so I'll hopefully find a use for this smaller one too.

Just a note, and I don't know why nobody ever states this. I got 2 of the electrostatic sprayer. The unit actual comes with a battery and charger. What I got was an open box with tape over description of battery and only the sprayer. A second one came only in a bag with instructions loose in shipper box.
As far as I know there's only one version of sprayer and it comes with battery.

not insane, considering that had sanitizer that was selling for $9 in 2020 is now not selling for $0.60.

That's interesting. I have one unopened that I got from a Home Depot promotion. I'll check it and see if that one is similar to as you describe
