Best deal on a condensor mic hands down, was the $100 King Bee. Unfortunately, that one has sold out and the replacement, the King Bee II lists for $180. But if you can find a used King Bee for $100 (and can live with the interesting aesthetics) you won't find a better $100 microphone.

Note that with the King Bee you'll need a XLR to USB adapter capable of phantom 48V. But it sounds FAR better than this Blue Yeti (and yeah, I have both).
You can like what you like, but I think you're factually wrong on what this is.
It's listed as the Yeti *X* (not the regular Yeti).

This is the regular Yeti that was on BF/CM sale for $100 (if you don't care about the paint job).
I would suggest listening to a bunch of reviews to find a mic that sounds best to YOU. I spent the last week researching mics for my use case and I really do not like the audio quality of the Yeti (sounds like a tin can with no depth, or something is just really off about their mics). In the end, I was between USB versions of the AT, Rode NT mini, and Elgato Waves. I ended up ordering the Elgato Wave 3 since it sounded best to me.
Podcastage (on Youtube/his website) was a great resource as you can hear direct comparisons. He's also a big proponent of getting a single cardioid pattern mic since most people will never use the other patterns.

You want a mic to be clean and accurate. From there you use reverb, echo, etc. to get the warmth and whatnot.
