Seemingly a pretty regular price as of late, still a good deal for the best that Dewalt makes in a kit. The only one better was the one past listing that included a triangle sander attachment and a plastic storage box.
Yes and no. While both are brushless, the OP has 3 speeds and a variable speed trigger with a high of 20,000. The Atomic is single speed with a variable speed trigger with a high of 18,000. You will not notice any difference at maximum speed.
We have both and the Atomic is slimmer that makes it easier for some to hang onto. The OP is noticeably bulkier. and probably because of the 3 speed transmission that most seldom use when it has the variable speed trigger for starting cuts. Resale wise, the OP always seems to bring more, but with gloves on, I like the Atomic that I can almost write my name with.
Atomic kit includes the 2AH Battery & DCB112 Charger no Bag.
Amazon's XR kit has 1.5AH Batt, with DCB107 Charger with a Bag.
Ultimately decided to keep the HD kit due to the better battery and charger.
