There's a comment that got a LOT of attention stating that these gloves are suitable for very cold temps. That is INCORRECT -- these are NOT super warm. That commenter did tack on an edit, but didn't amend his original comment, so it's still going to probably be misleading people. These gloves are open-weave without a proper wind-shell. They're also very, very absorbent, and will not protect against precipitation at all. In other words, these are better for spring or fall than they are for winter.

Don't take my word for it though - here are the reviews from people who've owned these:

Featured Comments

IMHO, these are more sub-freezing type gloves. 30s-40s I prefer something much lower profile, more like lined driving gloves or even thinner running gloves. These are the giant puffy coats of gloves, like George Costanza knocking over liquor bottles.

Edit: While bulky, these are definitely open-weave type gloves and won't be as warm as proper encased gloves. So they're all the bulk without the warmth Wink
EDIT: there's another comment that got a LOT of attention stating that these gloves are suitable for very cold temps. He tacked on an edit below that information admitting that idea is erroneous when I pointed out the open weave and reviews, but I have a feeling people aren't going to read past the first sentence or two and will be tricked into thinking they're much warmer than they actually are. Again, read the reviews -- these AREN'T super warm.

Seems ok. Based on the reviews, this probably is a light to mid weight glove intended for spring / falls temps more than sub-30 degree windy winter days.

The e-tip barely works on touchscreens. Even after increasing the screen sensitivity.

If you plan on spending a lot of time outside, then go with something that will keep you warmer, I wouldn't sacrifice warmth for ease. Not sure if these are them, your hands will thank you though. NYC can get quite windy and can easily drop below 30 in winter. Either way, good luck and have an amazing time!

The reviews people are leaving indicate otherwise, which makes more sense because of the open-type weave on these.

On $16 gloves? That's inexcusable

I've had $1 ones that it worked on
